Global Competence

Veronica Boix Mansilla is a Principal Investigator at Project Zero, Harvard Graduate School of Education.

She encourages teachers to find ways to invite our students to understand the world around them and develop a sense of self and global citizenship that will enable them to act while taking into consideration different perspectives.

Global competence has got one heart: disciplinary and interdisciplinary understanding. Global competent individuals should be able to investigate the world through curiosity, be empathic, communicate effectively in different contexts, and take action to find solutions to different issues.
